UPDATES & NEWS
Ryan Braun has left the Brewers to return to Milwaukee to be with wife Larisa for the birth of their first child.
The good news is that Braun will not have to go on paternity leave with the rosters being expanded. It looks like he will only miss one game due to the birth of his first child. He should be good to go for the Brewers huge four-game series against the division leading Cardinals this weekend. ANALYST: Drew Phelps
Jed Lowrie left Monday's game with a thumb injury. He's going back to Houston Tuesday for an MRI.
In all likelihood Jonathan Villar or Marwin Gonzalez will fill in for Lowrie if he misses extended time, but there's an outside chance the first-place Astros call up uber-prospect Carlos Correa for his first major league taste. Correa is murdering the Texas League (Double-A) to the tune of .375/.429/.719 with four home runs and two stolen bases. He's worth a speculative add in competitive leagues until the situation becomes more clear. Astros GM Jeff Luhnow has hinted that he wouldn't be scared to "lift" Correa straight from Double-A at some point. Analysis: Spencer Silva
