UPDATES & NEWS
Aroldis Chapman struck out two batters and registered his 29th save of the season for the Reds in a win over the Pirates on Sunday.
Chapman seems to be over the various ailments that have been nagging him of late, which is good news for Chapman owners. The flamethrower continues to be one of the game's elite and should be started with absolute confidence.ANALYST: Colby Conway
Matt Andriese gave up four runs over 3 1/3 innings as the Rays lost to the Yankees 5-3 on Sunday.
The Yanks hit Andriese up pretty good on Sunday, but it wasn’t like they absolutely shelled him. Four runs on eight hits over 3 1/3 innings isn’t pretty, but it also isn’t catastrophic. In any case, manager Kevin Cash decided to pull the 25-year-old right-hander after only 63 pitches, leaving the rest of the game up to the bullpen. He now appears to have a spot in this Ray’s rotation, so he needs to work on stretching himself out and keeping the ball on the ground, rather than getting hit hard or getting into deep counts. As of now, he’s not worth a fantasy roster spot, so look for starting pitching help somewhere else on the waiver wire. Analysis: Dom Murtha
