Brett Gardner went 3-for-5 with a home run, triple, double and two runs scored in the Yankees loss to the Blue Jays on Sunday at the Rogers Center.
Gardner only needed a single to complete the cycle. The home run was Gardner's 16th of the season, doubling his previous career-high. Gardner will almost certainly be overvalued next season, when his power numbers will likely come back to Earth.ANALYST: Steve Pimental
Miguel Castro will open the season in the majors.
Castro flew under the radar in the minors last season, but is making the rare jump from A-Ball to the majors. This is thanks to his (likely) temporary move to the bullpen for the Spring, which enabled his stuff to tick up a bit in shorter outings. He's likely next in line to receive saves should Brett Cecil fail, and the 20-year old is worth keeping an eye on. Analysis: Ben Diamond
