Zack Greinke settled for a no-decision but tossed eight innings of one-run ball against the Padres on Saturday. He allowed four hits and two walks with eight strikeouts.
Greinke was on top of his game on Saturday although he was forced to settle for a no-decision after allowing only six base runner through eight innings. He is now sitting 13-8 with a 2.72 ERA and 1.15 WHIP through 27 starts while owning a solid 182:38 K:BB rate over 172.1 innings, making 2014 another great season for this 30-year-old hurler. Greinke will look to get back in the win column when he takes on the Diamondbacks on Friday. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Trevor Cahill has secured the final spot in the Diamondbacks' rotation.
With this news, it is confirmed that Daniel Hudson will start the season out of the team's bullpen. Cahill really struggled last season, but the team believes his revamped mechanics will equate to better success this season. In 17 starts and 14 relief appearances last year, he compiled a rough 5.61 ERA. Starters in Arizona will likely be back-end starters in many fantasy rotations this season. Analysis: Colby Conway
