Raiders cut RB Jeremy Stewart.
Stewart has played in 17 games over the past two seasons, mostly in special teams. ANALYST: Ben Diamond
Stewart was signed to provide depth at RB, but the Raiders also have Maurice Jones-Drew and Darren McFadden to handle the load initially in the running attack. Both are risky plays, however, with injury history that might make Stewart a practice squad member once the team sets up the 10-man squad later this weekend.ANALYST: Ivar G. Anderson
Orioles are expected to option Tyler Wilson to Triple-A Norfolk.
Wilson's demotion to Triple-A will clear a spot in the bullpen for Oliver Drake, who's been pitching unbelievably well in Triple-A. Wilson hasn't been particularly bad since being called up, appearing in two games and posting a 4.50 ERA and a 2.50 WHIP, but Drake's performance appears to have have won him the opportunity to take that next step. Athletics recalled Kendall Graveman from Triple-A Nashville.
Graveman will make the start in today's game against the Rays as a result of Drew Pomeranz being placed on the DL. Graveman struggled mightily in his four starts with the A's (8.27 ERA, 2.02 WHIP, 9/7 strikeout-to-walk ratio) prior to being sent back down to Triple-A, but has been dominant in his four minor leagues starts since then (1.85 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and a 14/9 strikeout-to-walk ratio).
