Lions LB Kyle Van Noy (abdomen) underwent surgery Thursday.
Although Van Noy's surgery was successful, the Lions still have a big decision to make in regards to his future with the team in 2014 with the final cut just days away. If they decide to keep him on the 53-man roster, they can place him on the injured reserve-designated to return list or injured reserve for the rest of the season. Either way things aren't looking good for the Lions second round pick in this year's NFL Draft. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Jed Lowrie left Monday's game with a thumb injury. He's going back to Houston Tuesday for an MRI.
In all likelihood Jonathan Villar or Marwin Gonzalez will fill in for Lowrie if he misses extended time, but there's an outside chance the first-place Astros call up uber-prospect Carlos Correa for his first major league taste. Correa is murdering the Texas League (Double-A) to the tune of .375/.429/.719 with four home runs and two stolen bases. He's worth a speculative add in competitive leagues until the situation becomes more clear. Astros GM Jeff Luhnow has hinted that he wouldn't be scared to "lift" Correa straight from Double-A at some point. Analysis: Spencer Silva
