Anibal Sanchez seems to be done after he suffered a setback in his latest throwing session Monday. For now, there's no timetable for when Sanchez will be able to return in the midst of the Tigers' playoff chase.

Sanchez will visit Dr. James Andrews to get his take on what might be wrong, on the chance it's not a torn pectoral muscle. Unfortunately, as everyone knows, a trip to his office is rarely met with good news. Rarely.ANALYST: Howard Bender

Alexi Amarista went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and one run scored against the Marlins on Sunday

Amarista hit his third home run of the year on Sunday. He hasn’t had a great year to this point and he is hoping things will turn for the best in the second half. He is now hitting .201 with three home runs and 23 RBI on the year.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Adeiny Hechavarria went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and one run scored against the Padres on Sunday

Hechavarria just keeps hitting this year for a Marlins team that is going nowhere. He is now hitting .279 with five home runs and 42 RBI. The Marlins have a young core and could contend in a few years. If that is the case they are going to need Hechavarria to keep growing each year.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Jose Fernandez struck out 10 over six innings giving up no runs against the Padres on Sunday.

Fernandez was brilliant again on Sunday, striking out 10 over six innings. He is now 4-0 with a 2.13 ERA over six starts to this point on the year. Since returning from Tommy John he has been nothing short of fantastic. The Marlins have a solid young arm in this guy and he is going to be good for a long time.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

James Shields allowed two runs on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts over six innings against the Marlins on Sunday

Now that Padres have made it clear they are all in on making the playoffs this season they will need Shields to perform. He did his part on Sunday giving up two runs over six innings. It will be interesting to see where the Padres are in a couple of weeks and if they will place Shields on waivers or not.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

E.J. Gaines departed Sunday evening's practice with an apparent leg injury, limping off the field early in the workout and not returning. After practice, Fisher offered as much of an update as he could without having a lot of information available.

Gaines is coming off a solid rookie season where he had 70 tackles and two interceptions in 15 games played. With St. Louis hoping to take the next steps, Gaines' health will be a hot topic with the Rams and whether he will be healthy soon. Analysis: Rob Trayah

Neil Walker went 1-for-4 with a home run, RBI and one run scored on Sunday against the Reds.

Walker launched his 10th homer of the season on Sunday and is putting together one of the better fantasy years for second basemen this year. He is hitting .272 for the Pirates while adding 42 RBI.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Keyvius Sampson allowed three runs on three hits with one walk and six strikeouts over five innings against the Pirates on Sunday

Sampson made his first career start against the Pirates on Sunday and was effective over five innings giving up only three runs. He should get a couple of starts over the next few weeks to show what he has got after the Reds decided to be sellers at the deadline.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Charlie Morton pitched seven scoreless innings with seven strikeouts against the Reds on Sunday

Morton has been pitching great as of late for the Pirates and is showing how deep their rotation can be. He is now 7-4 on the year with a 4.19 ERA. The Pirates will need strong pitching if they want to catch up to the Cardinals in the Central. Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Ben Zobrist went 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and one run scored against the Blue Jays on Sunday

Zobrist hit his third home run as a Royal on Sunday and is enjoying his time in Kansas City to this point. He is a super utility player that can play wherever and can be a key part of a successful fantasy squad. Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Chris Colabello went 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and one run scored against the Royals on Sunday

Colabello continued his surprise season on Sunday launching his 10th homer of the season. He is now hitting .315 on the year and is showing that his early season success was no fluke.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

R.A. Dickey allowed no runs on two hits with two walks and six strikeouts over seven innings against the Royals on Sunday

Dickey had one of his best starts of the season on Sunday. He lasted seven innings giving up no runs while striking out six. The Blue Jays will need him down the stretch if they want to catch the Yankees. He now sits at 6-10 on the year with a 4.06 ERA.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Edinson Volquez allowed two runs on four hits with three walks and four strikeouts over six innings against the Blue Jays

Volquez picked up his fourth consecutive start giving up three runs or fewer. He now sits at 10-6 for the first place Royals with a 3.20 ERA. Volquez’s best years are behind him but he is still a capable starting pitcher.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Todd Gurley (knee) is participating in training camp but has been limited to individual drills.

Gurley was selected in the first round this year and is being groomed to be the feature back in St. Louis off his knee surgery. He will be a mid-round pick nobody knowing his true value until the season starts and you can see what his knee looks like in real-time NFL action. Analysis: Rob Trayah

Cowboys DE Jeremy Mincey, who is practicing, agreed to a raise for the 2015 season. The two sides will continue to talk about an extension. His fine has been waived.

Mincey will have his fines waived for missing time. He started all 16 games last year for Cowboys after moving from Denver and had 36 combined tackles with six sacks. Analysis: Rob Trayah
