Justin Morneau went 2-for-3 with one RBI and a run scored in the Rockies 3-2 win over the Giants on Monday.
Morneau is now slashing .317/.359/.498 with 14 home runs and 68 RBI over 410 at-bats as he continues to find new life in his first season with the Rockies. To add to his solid season, he has just 48 strikeouts on the year, which gives him a 11.7 percent strikeout rate while sitting in first place in batting average among NL hitters. He remains a must-start as long as he can stay healthy enough to continue receiving regular at-bats. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
The Indians recalled Danny Salazar from Triple-A Columbus Saturday.
The expected move was announced Thursday after the Tribe felt they needed to push Carlos Carrasco (head/jaw) back to Monday. Salazar was dominant in his one Triple-A start, and as Fantasy Alarm's Brad Costilo noted earlier in the week, Salazar was very solid in his final 12 starts [of 2014], limiting opposing hitters to a .255 average/.668 OPS while striking out 1/4 of the batters he faced.
