Andrew McCutchen went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in the Pirates 3-2 loss to the Cardinals on Monday.
McCutchen has returned with a vengeance, swatting three home runs in his last four games. The injury appears to be behind him, and he's once again putting up MVP numbers, slashing .309/.406/.542with 20 home runs and 17 steals. The rib injury he incurred earlier this month called for the first disabled list stint of his career. Thanks, D'Backs. ANALYST:
Mo Williams (knee) will play Friday against the Wizards.
As he has been playing through this knee issue, Williams' shooting percentage has been dreadfully low (23-percent). Considering this, do exactly what the Hornets are doing: play him with caution. Williams is a tealented guard, but be reasonable with your expectations, as he has struggled with his shot while dealing with the injury. Analysis: Dom Murtha
Brad Miller not in the Mariners lineup Friday because of an illness.
Considering Miller committed an atrocious 18 errors in a mere 107 games last season, one would be led to believe that he has the plate presence of Tony Gwynn in order to hold down the Mariners starting shortstop position, however that is not at all the case, as Miller hit a lowly .221, with 10 homers, 36 RBI, and boasted an inexcuseable .288 OBP in 2014. Stay away from him in drafts. Analysis: Dom Murtha
