Ian Desmond went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, a walk and two runs scored in the Nationals win over the Giants on Sunday.
He continues to prove that he's one of the best home run hitting shortstops in the majors. This was his 21st home run of the season and has now hit 20 or more home runs in three straight seasons.ANALYST: Mark Kaplan
Doug McDermott (back) did not practice Tuesday.
It was reported on Saturday that McDermott suffered a setback on Saturday which caused him to miss a game. It looks like now, it could be more than a one game setback. He has not been a consistent part of the rotation, so his absence won't have many fantasy implications. Analysis: Drew Phelps
Dion Waiters (foot) did not practice Tuesday.
RIght now, Waiters should be considered questionable for the Thunder's Wednesday night match up against the Mavericks. Coach Brooks said his foot is feeling better but still not 100%. Andre Roberson has already been ruled out, which means Anthony Morrow could be in line for all the minutes he can handle if Waiters is unable to play. Analysis: Drew Phelps
