Josh Hamilton went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBI, and a run scored in the Angels 8-3 route over the Red Sox Wednesday night at Fenway Park.
Hamilton has been struggling in the month of August, slashing 203/.279/.373 with two home runs and six RBI over his last 59 at-bats. Wednesday also marked the first time in over two weeks in which he was logged a mult-hit game, so hopefully this performance will get him moving back in the right direction when his team needs him most. Ahmad Brooks (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday.
According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, Brooks is going through the league’s post-concussion protocol this week, which could create more opportunities for Tank Carradine to showcase his skills as an outside pass rusher. The main subs for Brooks on Sunday is rookie Eli Harold, who is ready for the increased workload, however Cory Lemonier and Tank Carradine will be ready to go if needed. Analysis: Dom Murtha
