Josh Hamilton went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBI, and a run scored in the Angels 8-3 route over the Red Sox Wednesday night at Fenway Park.

Hamilton has been struggling in the month of August, slashing 203/.279/.373 with two home runs and six RBI over his last 59 at-bats. Wednesday also marked the first time in over two weeks in which he was logged a mult-hit game, so hopefully this performance will get him moving back in the right direction when his team needs him most. ANALYST: Matthew Beck

Matt Joyce (concussion) worked out for the first time on Monday.

Remember that the Angels added three outfielders before the expiration of the trade deadline, namely, Shane Victorino, David Murphy, and David DeJesus. The writing is on the wall that once Joyce is activated from the 7-day DL, he will likely be removed from the 40-man roster. If that takes place, he obviously becomes fantasy irrelevant for all intents and purposes. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Manager Joe Maddon anticipates the Cubs will activate catcher Miguel Montero (thumb) at some point this weekend.

Montero has not played since leaving the July 11 contest against the crosstown White Sox in the third inning. He is heading to Double-A Tennessee for a short rehab stint, as the Cubs are taking it carefully and not just activating him, despite receiving medical clearance on his injured thumb. He will take on the bulk of the Cub's catching duties once he rejoins the team, pushing Kyle Schwarber to the backup catcher role, although Schwarber will also see some time in the outfield during the rest of the season. Analysis: Ivar G. Nuggets officially announce Danilo Gallinari's contract extension.

Hopefully Gallo can stay healthy this season, as he is one of the more underrated players in the NBA when fully healthy. At 6'10" with a smooth jumper and solid slashing ability, the Italian should provide excellent fantasy production this season, so long as his knees can hold up.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Sean Doolittle (shoulder) will throw a simulated game on Tuesday.

Keep an eye on Doolittle's status going forward, as he will slide right back into the closers role when healthy. Hopefully all goes well in his simulated game on Tuesday, as it will directly affect which direction his rehab goes.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Indians optioned Michael Roth to Triple-A Columbus.

Roth didn't appear during his time with the club, so he will not be missed on the Indians roster in all fantasy formats.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Indians recalled Kyle Crockett from Triple-A Columbus.

Crockett figures to see low stress, low fantasy value innings going forward, so don't waste a roster spot on him in your leagues.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Ace Sanders was suspended 10 games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy on Monday.

Without a team to call home right now, it is unclear how Sanders will serve his suspension. It would make the most sense that his suspension would kick in once a team takes a chance on him. Expect an appeal coming soon.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Scott Crichton said he left ankle injury isn't serious.

Crichton and his good size figures to be a bigger part of the Vikings defensive line rotation this season, so any extended time off might throw him off his path. Luckily he doesn't figure to miss much time from this left ankle issue, so Crichton is poised to break out this season. Analysis: Dom Murtha

Colts and T.Y. Hilton are working "diligently" on a contract extension.

Hilton has been one of the most productive receivers in football over the past couple of seasons and the Colts feel that he has earned a new contract. This isn't something that is very customary for teams to encourage, but Hilton has been that good. Expect him and Andrew Luck to have many more productive seasons together ahead of them. Analysis: Dom Murtha

Indians recalled Jose Ramirez from Triple-A Columbus.

With Kipnis on the shelf, the Indians are in the market for another infielder. Ramirez will satisfy exactly that need, as he can play either short or second.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Indians placed Jason Kipnis on the 15-day disabled list with a sore right shoulder.

Kipnis was enjoying himself a fine season prior to the injury, but the DL trip will certainly throw a wrench into that. 15 days should be enough for him to rest up, as the sore shoulder heals.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Nick Tropeano has been scratched from his scheduled start at Triple-A Salt Lake.

Tropeano will likely replace the now injured C.J. Wilson as the fifth starter going forward, so adding him might be worth your time if you are in need of starting pitching help. In two starts this season, he's gone a collective 12 innings and has posted a 3.00 ERA.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Vinnie Pestano has cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Pestano just hasn't been great this season, and while he looked like one of the better young relievers a few years ago, he just isn't the same guy. Expect little fantasy value coming from him in the future.  Analysis: Dom Murtha
