Jean Segura went 2-for-2 with two walks, a run scored, and a RBI in the Brewers loss on Wednesday to the Blue Jays.
It's been all altogether terrible season for Segura, who's been 42% below league average with the stick and slightly above average with the glove. Wednesday's performance "boosts" Segura's line to .233/.270/.318 with only four home runs and sixteen steals. He was divisive heading into drafts this season, and it's likely he'll be even more so next season given his horrendous performance. ANALYST:
Kendrys Morales went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in the Royals 7-1 win over the Twins on Monday.
Morales is raking to start the season, hitting .358 with 12 runs, two home runs and nine RBI as the Royals everyday DH and cleanup hitter. 2014 was a lost year for Morales as he struggled to find a role with the Mariners and Twins but he showed capable of being a productive player over the two seasons prior where he hits a combined 45 home runs over the two years. Morales was one of the more promising offensive players in the league before a devastating ankle injury nearly ended his career in 2010 but if his hot start is any indication of things to come those who took a chance on Kendrys could be in for a solid season.
