UPDATES & NEWS
Masahiro Tanaka threw 35 pitches Wednesday and said everything feels fine.
Tanaka's session Wednesday was still from flat ground but he threw 10 more pitches than he did in his previous session. The true test, though, will be how he fares once he starts throwing from a mound again. These current sessions are great efforts to help rebuild his stamina, but at some point they're going to have to test velocity.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Update: Corey Dickerson was removed from Saturday's game with a left quad injury.
While the news regarding Dickerson's plantar fasciitis was positive, he was removed after he fouled a ball off his back leg and is now day-to-day with what the team is calling a quad injury. When his leg appeared to be swollen, manager Walt Weiss opted to play it safe and remove Dickerson who had gone 0-for-3 in Saturday's game against the Giants. Consider him day-to-day for right now and figure he'll be a game-time decision for Sunday. Analysis: Howard Bender
