Rangers manager Ron Washington said Tuesday that he's not really thinking about the 25th for a return for Yu Darvish, who hasn't thrown since August 9th.
"I just dont know whats going to be. I dont know whats going to happen there." Washington said. This injury seems a little more serious than originally thought and sounds like the Rangers are going to be extra cautious knowing they have no chance at the postseason. ANALYST: Drew Phelps
Jed Lowrie left Monday's game with a thumb injury. He's going back to Houston Tuesday for an MRI.
In all likelihood Jonathan Villar or Marwin Gonzalez will fill in for Lowrie if he misses extended time, but there's an outside chance the first-place Astros call up uber-prospect Carlos Correa for his first major league taste. Correa is murdering the Texas League (Double-A) to the tune of .375/.429/.719 with four home runs and two stolen bases. He's worth a speculative add in competitive leagues until the situation becomes more clear. Astros GM Jeff Luhnow has hinted that he wouldn't be scared to "lift" Correa straight from Double-A at some point. Analysis: Spencer Silva
