Hanley Ramirez (oblique) is swinging the bat at 90 percent, according to manager Don Mattingly. He should be ready to return when eligible.
Great news for HanRam owners who had to be worried when he initial injured his oblique as it could have ultimately ended his season depending the severity. Now that we know he will come off the DL once he is eligible it appears he will be able to help his owners for the fantasy playoff run. As of now it looks as if he will be eligible to come off the DL next weekend.ANALYST: Jonathan Impemba
Update: Carlos Peguero will be on Boston's major league roster.
With the Red Sox dealing with injuries in their outfield, they are going to give Peguero a chance. The Rangers cut ties with him after he struck out in just under 43-percent of the times he came to the plate in the first 30 games of the season. He is one of those guys who has incredible raw power, but he is boom-or-bust and is going to be a drain on your batting average. However, no playing time is guaranteed, so he should be left off most rosters. Analysis: Colby Conway
Colts signed first-round wide receiver Phillip Dorsett.
Dorsett is known for his excellent speed that he showcased while at the University of Miami. The Indy receiving core is pretty packed, so Dorsett’s expectations for his rookie year should be held in check. Last season for the Hurricanes, he caught 36 passes for 871 yards and 10 touchdowns. He would need an injury or two to become seriously fantasy relevant, seeing that he will be no higher than their number four receiver at the start of this season. Analysis: Colby Conway
