Zack Wheeler moved to 8-8 after giving up just two runs on four hits and four walks with 10 strikeouts over 6.2 innings against the Cubs on Friday.

Wheeler is now sporting a 3.49 ERA and 1.33 WHIP through 25 starts in 2014, while sitting on a solid 8.88 K/9 over 147.0 innings. Although his walks are rather high (62 BB), he has managed to allow just 11 home runs up to this point as he keeps his opposition hitting at a .244 clip. The Mets young hurler will look to keep up the pace when he takes on the A's on Wednesday.ANALYST: Matthew Beck

Ted Ginn Jr. visited with the Titans Tuesday and is expected to meet with the 49ers on Wednesday.

Ginn Jr. is familiar with the 49ers as he played with the team between 2010-2012. Where ever he lands, Ginn Jr. will certainly be a key member of the return time with occasional snaps on offense. Analysis: David Kerr

Cowboys are pretty confident that they’ll have a chance at re-signing running back DeMarco Murray.

This is great news for the Cowboys and their fans. It is no secret that Murray would like to stay in Dallas, but as always, money is the real issue. While Murray is a very important piece this offseason, Dallas is also trying to lock up Dez Bryant. At this point, the Cowboys should be considered the favorites to retain Murray, but it may be awhile before anything is official. Analysis: David Kerr

Brewers signed shortstop Jean Segura to a contract on Tuesday.

Milwaukee has control of Segura through the 2018 season, but the terms of his new contract are unknown at this time. Segura is looking for a strong rebound in 2015 after struggling mightily last year. He makes for a fine mid-level option at shortstop. Analysis: David Kerr

Brewers signed second baseman Scooter Gennett to a contract on Tuesday.

No word as to what the terms of the deal were, but Gennett is under team control until 2019. He will be the Brewers' starting second baseman this season and is in line for an increased role. Analysis: David Kerr

Francisco Rodriguez has begun the process of applying for a work visa. Rodriguez reported late to camp last season due to work visa issues.

Rodriguez only signed with the Brewers last week, so he is being given time to get his visa issues straightened out. It shouldn't be long before he is in camp and he will most certainly be ready to go when the regular season begins. Analysis: David Kerr

Darrell Arthur (calf) will play Tuesday against the Bucks.

Arthur has missed the Nuggets' previous two games with a calf strain, but appears ready to give it a go on Tuesday night. He should clock in around his 18 minute average, but his fantasy value is limited to only the deepest leagues. Analysis: David Kerr

Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) will not play Tuesday against the Bucks.

With severe swelling in his ankle, Nurkic could be out for quite some time, so if you need a roster spot, you should strongly consider cutting him. In the meantime, J.J. Hickson should be the main beneficiary in regards to playing time. Analysis: David Kerr

Jason Marquis pitched two scoreless innings Tuesday, as he tries to win a spot in the Reds rotation.

Marquis struggled with injuries in 2014 and was limited to just nine minor league starts. He owns a career 4.56 ERA and would be an absolutely terrible fit at Great American Ballpark. He can safely be avoided in all formats if he does in fact win the Reds' fifth starter job. Analysis: David Kerr

Jesse Chavez will start Wednesday and is hoping to win a spot in the starting rotation.

Chavez started in the A's rotation last season but was moved to the bullpen after the acquisitions of Jason Hammel, Jeff Samardzija and Jon Lester. Chavez finished last season going 8-8 with a 3.45 ERA over 32 games(21 starts). Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Kenneth Faried will start at center on Tuesday.

Faried has started at center in the Nuggets last game with Jusuf Nurkic out with injury. Faried is undersized at the position and will likely also use J.J. Hickson and Joffrey Lauvergne at center. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

C.J. Spiller said the Bills have informed him he'll be cut.

With the blockbuster news that the Bills have traded for LeSean "Shady" McCoy this move had to be expected. Many teams have already been rumored to be interested in Spiller as he is an explosive player with great pass catching ability out of the back field. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Colts are signing long snapper Matt Overton to contract extension.

Overton was a named to the 2013 Pro Bowl as a long snapper and has appeared in all 48 games since signing with the Colts back in 2012. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Tony Snell will start Tuesday against the Wizards.

The injury to Jimmy Butler has likely made Tony Snell the most added man in fantasy over the past two days and rightfully so as the diminished Bulls offense should feature him prominently as a scorer on the wing in an effort to replace the production of Jimmy Butler. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Kosta Koufos will start Tuesday in place of Zach Randolph.

Randolph is out of the lineup for the Grizzlies with an illness. Koufas has started one previous game this season, scoring five points with four rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal over 33 minutes of play. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba
