Shaun Livingston underwent arthroscopic surgery on his big toe and will be sidelined six to eight weeks.
This would put Livingston out of action until early-to-mid October which would still allow him to begin the season with the Warriors. If he has any type of setback, he could be out longer, but for now, count on him to be on the opening day roster for Golden State. Livingston started 54 games and averaged 8.3 PPG for Brooklyn last season.ANALYST: David Kerr
Jarrod Parker (elbow) hit 92 mph in his simulated game on Saturday.
Parker's surgery was in March of last year, knocking him out for all of 2014. Recovery has gone well for him, and he made a big step earlier in the Spring by throwing to live hitters. This was his second Tommy John procedure, so it's not a surprise that the Athletics are taking it slow with him. Parker had a decent year in 2013, his second full season in the majors, throwing 197 innings en route to a 3.97 ERA and 134 strikeouts. He's not a viable fantasy option this year, though, due to his injury. Analysis: Ben Diamond
