Odell Beckham (hamstring) will not play in this week's preseason game against the Colts.
While Beckham has been practicing this week, coach Tom Coughlin doesn't feel that he's had enough work just yet to go full-steam in a game situation. Another week of practice will afford the rookie wide receiver enough time to be ready and he should play in the final two preseason games. He'll have a real nice opportunity to carve out a niche for himself in the offense especially since he won't be working in the return game at all.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Jed Lowrie left Monday's game with a thumb injury. He's going back to Houston Tuesday for an MRI.
In all likelihood Jonathan Villar or Marwin Gonzalez will fill in for Lowrie if he misses extended time, but there's an outside chance the first-place Astros call up uber-prospect Carlos Correa for his first major league taste. Correa is murdering the Texas League (Double-A) to the tune of .375/.429/.719 with four home runs and two stolen bases. He's worth a speculative add in competitive leagues until the situation becomes more clear. Astros GM Jeff Luhnow has hinted that he wouldn't be scared to "lift" Correa straight from Double-A at some point. Analysis: Spencer Silva
