Justin Upton was removed from Thursday's game with a hamstring injury. He's considered day-to-day.
Upton was 1-for-2 with a double, two RBI and a pair of walks before leaving the game. He was tagging from second to third and slid awkwardly into the bag. The team says that the injury is just a mild strain of his hamstring, but he's likely to miss Friday's action just to play it safe.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Diamondbacks are having internal discussions about whether to pursue Jarrod Saltalamacchia.
Salty has been god awful so far this season, and the Marlins feel comfortable going forward with J.T. Realmuto as their starting catcher. They decided to designate him for assignment, giving the Diamondbacks a chance to go after the veteran catcher. Going to Arizona wouldn't do much for his fantasy value besides for having him remain in the big leagues, so unless he somehow turns it around and gets a deal worked out with the D-Backs, punt on Saltalamacchia.
