Chris Archer improved to 8-6 after allowing just one run on four hits and two walks while striking out 12 batters over seven innings in Wednesday's 10-1 win over the Rangers.

Archer has now allowed just two earned runs over his last two starts, while owning a 18:3 K:BB rate over that stretch (13.0 IP). Despite a not-so-great record, Archer has managed a 3.24 ERA and 1.28 WHIP over 24 starts while sporting a 135:54 K:BB rate in 144.2 innings. Although a strikeout performance like he displayed tonight is not going to happen everyday, he can still be a solid asset down the stretch for contending fantasy teams. He will look to keep up the pace when he takes on the Tigers in his next start on Tuesday.
