Carlos Gonzalez's patella tendon damage has increased slightly and doctors will consult with him on Thursday.
It's actually getting to the point where owning CarGo is a flat out liability. He appeared in just 18 games after his finger surgery and now could be headed back under the knife for his knee if the club feel that it's the only way he can truly be 100-percent healthy next year. If his season did end here, it would be his worst statistical season since his first season in 2008.ANALYST: Howard Bender
The Astros optioned Matt Dominguez to minor-league camp on Sunday
After playing in the majors each of the last two seasons with the Marlins and the Astros it appears he will have to prove to his team that he is still a big league caliber player. At best, Dominguez can provide the long ball for desperate owners if he makes it back to the big leagues, but his batting average (career .233 BA) is hard to live with if that situation arises.
