Jake Peavy picked up his first win since being dealt to the Giants after allowing just one run on four hits and three walks while striking out three batters over seven innings against the White Sox on Wednesday.
This was Peavy's best start as a Giant and ironically it came against an American league team which had given him fits since he was acquired from the Red Sox.ANALYST: Jonathan Impemba
Marc Krauss went 1-for-4 with a solo home run on Thursday in Toronto.
Krauss is hitting only .150 with a .350 slugging percentage after launching his first home run of the season. It was just his seventh game of the season, but there’s no doubt he’ll need to cut down on the strikeouts if he’s ever going to be able to showcase the decent pop he has. The left-handed hitter was called up from AAA to try and infuse some offense in Anaheim and was slugging .639 over his past 10 games. With Matt Joyce really struggling, expect Krauss to steal some of his at-bats over the next few weeks. Analysis: Kevin Luchansky
