Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Rob Gronkowski's chances of playing Week one are 50-50.
Gronk is an absolute fantasy force when he is on the field but his consistent injury history, most of which has been bad luck, and seemingly inconsistent time tables as to when he will return to action make him a large risk on draft day but one that could pay off immensely. Joakim Soria will throw a bullpen session Thursday.
Soria was acquired last season by the Tigers as an insurance policy for the struggling Joe Nathan but he found himself getting injured just six games after being acquired which forced him to miss more than a month. In 13 games with the Tigers last season Soria went 1-1 with a 4.91 ERA after posting a 2.70 ERA with the Rangers prior to the trade. The Tigers expect Nathan to be their closer heading into the season which will mean Soria will once again be in a set up role. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba
