Giants rookie receiver Odell Beckham hopes to participate in 7-on-7 drills Tuesday after working in individual drills Monday.
Beckham has been missing most of the Giants activities with this hamstring issue but was finally able to participate on a limited basis Monday. While we can admire his desire to get back into the mix immediately, the Giants are likely to take it slow. The last thing they need/want is to have him re-aggravate the injury and be lost for longer.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Henry Owens will make his spring-training debut Friday.
While Owens' ERA jumped with his move to Triple-A last season, his K:BB spiked, leaving the Red Sox believing that he could be ready fro a jump to the majors soon. He'll debut this spring but will likely open the year at Triple-A to hone his craft. Should he dominate, the team could potentially bring him up for the second half. Analysis: Howard Bender
Hank Conger is dealing with a sore left wrist.
With the Astros saying that Evan Gattis will not play behind the plate at all this season, Conger steps in as the unequivocal back-up to Jason Castro. He's not really competing with Max Stassi who is seeing time in camp right now. Conger is day-to-day but should be just fine in a few days. Analysis: Howard Bender
