Bryan Mitchell has been optioned to Triple-A Scranton.
Mitchell tossed tow innings in Sunday's loss to the Indians, allowing no hits and one walk while striking out two batters, but will now head back to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre where he owns a 2.88 ERA and a 21:10 K:BB rate over 25.0 innings. Although his first big league stint lasted only one appearance, he should be expected back in the mix once rosters expand next month. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Zach Miller caught two passes on seven targets for 10 yards and a TD on Thursday night vs Green Bay.
Miller got the start in place of the injured Martellus Bennett on Thursday night. In all, he finished with two catches and a touchdown on seven targets, looking mediocre, however doing his best with the hand he was dealt. Anyone who started him in daily leagues could have expected better, however it is a bit spoiled to come away with much more than a TD as a definite backup. Consider him a wise play on Thursday night, and a keen start going forward at least until Bennett comes back healthy. Analysis: Dom Murtha
