Anibal Sanchez said he doesn't think he'll need to be placed on 15-day disabled list. He'll get a much better idea Saturday after an MRI.
The fact that he's heading back to Detroit for this MRI probably takes him out for his next start and if the MRI reveals a serious strain in the pectoral region, he could be out for an extended period of time. The Tigers will take it very slowly and carefully with Sanchez as they cannot risk losing him for the playoffs. Fantasy owners are in a bad situation right now as he could miss significant time here.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Ahmad Brooks (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday.
According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, Brooks is going through the league’s post-concussion protocol this week, which could create more opportunities for Tank Carradine to showcase his skills as an outside pass rusher. The main subs for Brooks on Sunday is rookie Eli Harold, who is ready for the increased workload, however Cory Lemonier and Tank Carradine will be ready to go if needed. Analysis: Dom Murtha
