Troy Tulowitzki (thigh) ran in the outfield and took part in some lateral drills Friday.
Tulo had previously taken BP and felt good, and apparently running went off without an issue as well. The team will wait until tomorrow to see how their stud shortstop if feeling, but if he is doing well, he'll likely be sent for a rehab assignment and could be back by the end of next week. Titans head coach Mike Mularkey said the team is giving Marcus Mariota more chances to run the football.
One of the bigger surprises this fantasy season has been the lack of running by Mariota, considering he came from a read option offense in Oregon. However, the rookie quarterback has still been a solid fantasy option despite the lack of running, so this will give a slight boost to his value if he is able to churn out a few yards on the ground. It’s always a tough situation when quarterbacks run more as they open themselves up for injury, but the Titans must feel confident that Mariota will know how to protect himself when he decides to take off and run.
