Giancarlo Stanton went 1-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored during the Marlins' 7-2 loss to the Pirates on Thursday.
Despite hitting .264 since returning from the All-Star game, Stanton has now logged six home runs and 13 RBI over his last 72 at-bats. Even if his batting average continues to drop as we get into the stretch run, his 27 home runs and 76 RBI more than makeup for anything lost along the way, as he remains one of the few elite power hitters in all of baseball. Zach Miller caught two passes on seven targets for 10 yards and a TD on Thursday night vs Green Bay.
Miller got the start in place of the injured Martellus Bennett on Thursday night. In all, he finished with two catches and a touchdown on seven targets, looking mediocre, however doing his best with the hand he was dealt. Anyone who started him in daily leagues could have expected better, however it is a bit spoiled to come away with much more than a TD as a definite backup. Consider him a wise play on Thursday night, and a keen start going forward at least until Bennett comes back healthy. Analysis: Dom Murtha
