Josh Gordon has not had settlement talks with the NFL to reduce his year-long suspension. Gordon has appealed the suspension, and the result of that appeal can come at any time.

It has been three days since the hearing regarding Gordon's appeal. In the light of the recent Ray Rice "punishment" it will be a bit hypocritical to keep Gordon out for a year. ANALYST:

Arian Foster suffered a groin injury in Monday's practice that might require surgery.

Foster injured his groin during practice Tuesday and will now go through a number of tests to determine the extent of the injury. The fact that people are already saying that he may need surgery doesn't exactly instill confidence that he can heal through rest and rehab. Expect the Texans to update his condition soon.  Analysis: Howard Bender

Kobe Bryant is still unsure if 2015-16 will be his final season in the NBA.

“We haven’t set anything in stone and I’ve talked about it before. But could this be the last [season]? Absolutely," Bryant told Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports. "It’s tough to decide. It’s really tough to make those types of decisions." In a nutshell, Kobe said that he won't be able to make a decision until after the season. He wants to see how much he enjoys playing still and the only time to make that determination is after the season comes to a close. It looks like this will annoyingly drag out all season and all of next summer. Analysis: Howard Bender

Yankees recalled RHP Caleb Cotham from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Cotham will take the roster spot vacated by the placement of Dustin Ackley on the disabled list. He's a low-leverage middle-reliever with no fantasy value. Analysis: Howard Bender

Clay Matthews missed his second day of practice Tuesday.

Matthews is dealing with knee soreness right now which is why he was also held out Monday. The issue doesn't appear to be too serious and the club wants to be cautious here, so expect Matthews to potentially miss a few more days until he is closer to 100-percent. Analysis: Howard Bender

Yankees placed Dustin Ackley (lumbar strain) on the 15-day disabled list.

After just three at-bats as a Yankee, Ackley hits the DL with a back strain. The team isn't sure as to how long he will be out, so expect a re-evaluation soon with an update on his expected return. Caleb Cothan was brought up to take his spot on the roster. Analysis: Howard Bender

Terrelle Pryor said his hamstring wasn't that bad, but he might miss a day or two.

Pryor is impressing head coach Mike Pettine and his staff in camp so far as he works towards landing a roster spot as a wide receiver. Given the weakness at the position for the Browns, he apparently stands a good chance of making the 53-man this summer, so if this hamstring issue doesn't keep him out for too long, you can expect to hear his name often. Analysis: Howard Bender

Jaguars General Manager Dave Caldwell doubts suspended WR Justin Blackmon will ever play again.

The real fact of the matter is that Blackmon does not seem to have football as a priority in his life anymore. The Jaguars have not cut ties with Blackmon yet because they are holding out hope to get several million dollars back of his original signing bonus for being the number five pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Eddie Lacy (foot soreness) was pulled out at the end of Tuesday's practice.

The Packers and Coach Mike McCarthy did not seem overly concerned with the injury. He was pulled out of practice for precautionary reasons and should be back on the field in the coming days. Lacy should still be considered a Top 10 pick in all fantasy football league formats.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Ameer Abdullah is apparently impressing during the early stages of training camp.

Abdullah has been turning heads since being selected in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. The Lions' see him as the second coming of Reggie Bush in Joe Lombardi's offensive system. If that is true, he'll get the ball on average 10.5 times per game but most expect that number to be the bare minimum for Abdullah's rookie-year. The ADP on Ameer has him getting selected in the sixth round of most drafts. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Terrelle Pryor pulled his hamstring at Browns practice Tuesday. Coach Mike Pettine says they don't know how bad it is just yet.

This could not have come at a worst time for Terrelle Pryor. There were reports saying that Pryor was a going to make the Browns' final roster. The Browns could really use some play makers on the offensive side of the ball and Pryor provides that. There are no reports on how severe the injury is but we will let you know as soon as we get word.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Coach Lovie Smith indicated that he is counting on Doug Martin to head the Buccaneers' backfield in 2015.

Coming off of back to back disappointing seasons, Doug Martin needed this confidence boost from his head coach. Lovie said, "Doug will be the lead guy doing that, so it's very important that we open up some holes and let him do his thing." The thought is that Martin will be the first and second down back while letting Charles Sims catch balls out of the back field on third down. He currently has an ADP in the seventh round which would be an extremely good value for a number one back.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Bills coach Rex Ryan is impressed with LB Preston Brown.

There were similar reports about Preston Brown last year coming from then coach Doug Marrone. He compared Brown to now Philadelphia Eagle linebacker Kiko Alonso. For the Bill's sake, Marrone's statements better be correct because he'll be the replacement for Alonso in the Bills linebacker core.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Brandon Kintzler (left knee) will begin a rehab assignment with the Rookie Arizona Brewers Tuesday night.

It has been a long trip to the disabled list for Kintzler. We have not seen him on a mound since the end of May dealing with left knee tendinitis. It should only take a few rehab appearances before he can rejoin the Brewers.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

DeMarco Murray missing the first day of practice was a coaching decision based on his hydration levels.

There is nothing to be worried about here. The Eagles are just being cautious with their new investment. Philadelphia's new running back is dealing with extreme heat and humidity at camp on the east coast. Murray should be back out on the practice field as soon as tomorrow. Analysis: Drew Phelps

The Knicks have agreed to terms with C Kevin Seraphin on a one year $2.8 million deal.

The Wizards were not going to give Seraphin a chance to start. He only saw the floor for 15.6 minutes per game and averaged 6.6 points, 3.3 boards and 0.7 blocks. He won't get much playing time in New York either with both Robin Lopez and Kyle O'Quinn playing ahead of him at center. Seraphin should not be owned in any leagues.  Analysis: Drew Phelps
