The Minnesota Timberwolves have reached an agreement in principle to send All-Star forward Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a protected 2015 first-round draft pick, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
It was reported earlier in the week that the Cavaliers and Timberwolves had reached a "handshake" agreement in regards to trading Kevin Love, and now it appears the details have been leaked. Although the Timberwolves will be losing Love if this trade does happen, they are getting more than any other team could offer, receiving the last two No. 1 overall draft picks plus another first-round pick in next year's draft. On paper, this is a win-win for both sides. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Sean Marshall (shoulder) has resumed throwing from flat ground.
Marshall was shut down at the beginning of spring training with shoulder soreness, but has resumed throwing. Last June, Marshall underwent season ending shoulder surgery after making just 15 appearances in 2014. The only thing scarier than last season's 7.71 ERA is the fact that he has had some sort of shoulder injury in each of the last three seasons. Leave this guy off your draft board. Nathan Eovaldi has been working on improving his splitter during spring training.
Eovaldi is more of a thrower than a pitcher right now, but the Yankees are hoping he can develop into a mainstay in their rotation. Even though he hasn't had a winning season in his four year career, his velocity is hope for optimism. Eovaldi got knocked around a lot last year, but he doesn't walk many batters, something else the Yankees are excited about. Eovaldi is going late in drafts and there is some solid value to be had if he can take the next step forward. Analysis: Colby Conway
