Matt Kemp hit his 14th home run of the season in the second inning of the Dodgers win over the Angels on Wednesday night.
Kemp stayed hot on Wednesday, going yard for the sixth time in his last nine games. After a rather unimpressive first half, Kemp is now slashing .344/.425/.672 since returning from the All-Star break making him a must-start in all fantasy formats as long as he can stay healthy. Titans head coach Mike Mularkey said the team is giving Marcus Mariota more chances to run the football.
One of the bigger surprises this fantasy season has been the lack of running by Mariota, considering he came from a read option offense in Oregon. However, the rookie quarterback has still been a solid fantasy option despite the lack of running, so this will give a slight boost to his value if he is able to churn out a few yards on the ground. It’s always a tough situation when quarterbacks run more as they open themselves up for injury, but the Titans must feel confident that Mariota will know how to protect himself when he decides to take off and run.
