Update: Troy Tulowitzki took batting practice before Wednesday's game.
According to reports Tulo looked good during batting practice which included a few balls he hit over the fence. Tulo hasn't played since July 19th and the Rockies will likely send him on a rehab assignment before deeming him ready for activation.ANALYST: Jonathan Impemba
Wandy Rodriguez allowed just one run on five hits and three walks with five strikeouts over five innings against the Angels on Friday.
Sigh. He’s like that bad penny you just can’t get rid of, no matter how hard you try. Just when you think Major League teams have had enough of him and his boring mediocrity, someone goes and brings good ol’ Wandy back from the dead. It’s difficult to imagine that he’ll last long with the Rangers, especially with the number of home runs he normally allows, but consider this the warning to stay away. This start may not look bad on the surface, but it’s just setting you up for something downright horrible in the future. He’ll get another start next week against the Mariners, but we cannot, in good conscience, recommend using him. Analysis: Howard Bender
