Browns HC Mike Pettine said WR Josh Gordon will probably play some with the first and second team players, including maybe some snaps in the second half of Saturday preseason game.
This is all well in good but the reports coming out today are that he's going to be suspended for looks like a minimum of eight games of the regular season. The Browns will end up starting Miles Austin and either Andrew Hawkins or Nate Burleson as their number 2 wide receiver. We are all just in a waiting game with Gordon.ANALYST: Drew Phelps
Carlos Gonzalez (knee) was removed from Friday's game for precautionary reasons.
To borrow one from Adam Carolla: Sssssssssssssssssssssshocking. Gonzalez has managed just 717 plate appearances combined in the last two years, and fantasy owners are all too familiar with his health woes. When healthy in the last two seasons, he's struck out a fair bit more than he ever has before, so we can longer treat CarGo as a top option when healthy. There's definitely upside, but it's hard to imagine him reaching it. Analysis: Brett Talley
