Clayton Kershaw settled for a no-decision after allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over seven innings in Tuesday's win over the Angels.
After allowing just one earned run over his last two starts, Kershaw had a rather rough outing, at least for his standards, on Tuesday night but was able to escape with a no-decision. He is now 13-2 with a 1.82 ERA and 0.85 WHIP through 18 starts while owning an unbelievable 157:17 K:BB rate over 128.1 innings. the Dodgers ace and front-runner for the National League Cy Young Award will look to get back in the win column when he takes on the Brewers on Sunday. Kendrys Morales went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in the Royals 7-1 win over the Twins on Monday.
Morales is raking to start the season, hitting .358 with 12 runs, two home runs and nine RBI as the Royals everyday DH and cleanup hitter. 2014 was a lost year for Morales as he struggled to find a role with the Mariners and Twins but he showed capable of being a productive player over the two seasons prior where he hits a combined 45 home runs over the two years. Morales was one of the more promising offensive players in the league before a devastating ankle injury nearly ended his career in 2010 but if his hot start is any indication of things to come those who took a chance on Kendrys could be in for a solid season.
