Masahiro Tanaka threw again early this afternoon. He again was soft-tossing so there is nothing major to report on that front.
The hope for Tanaka is still to avoid Tommy John surgery and return for the Yankees' playoff push. "Good," was what Tanaka said in English after answering as question about how he felt after his soft toss today. On Monday, Tanaka tested his right elbow for the first time since he received a platelet-rich plasma injection July 14. Surgery would finish his 2014 and likely keep him out all of 2015.ANALYST: Drew Phelps
Tevin Coleman (ribs) will play Week 5 against Washington.
Coleman seems to have moved past his rib injury, but while he is expected to play Sunday, he will obviously play a limited role behind Devonta Freeman. The Falcons offense is firing on all cylinders right now and they don't need/want to upset the balance of things while they are on this run. Expect Coleman to work as a part-time change-of-pace back this week. Analysis: Howard Bender
Jadeveon Clowney has a walking boot on his right foot.
Clowney limped off the field late in the game while the Colts were driving down for their final touchdown of the night. He remained on the sidelines with what the Texans are saying is an ankle issue. The oft-injured Clowney will stay in the boot as a precaution and he will be re-evaluated after a couple of days. Analysis: Howard Bender
