Fantasy Player Updates & News  Season Long, 3 Stage Fantasy Football Competition

Update: Andrew Cashner will throw on the side Tuesday, pitch 2-3 innings Friday for High-A Lake Elsinore, followed by two outings at Double-A, then hopefully be back with the Padres between August 22-24, according to manager Bud Black.

Cashner's progress has been slow and steady and obviously, given his injury history, the Padres are being extremely cautious. He'll graduate through the system here over the next two and a half weeks and may end up being a nice final-month starter for you down the stretch.ANALYST: Howard Bender

Mike Foltynewicz has been scratched from Monday's start due to a fever and viral symptoms.

A fever and viral symptoms are the cause of him missing his start Monday as Atlanta opens a series against Miami. The young righty has had a rough rookie campaign to this point posting a 4-6 record with a 5.71 ERA in 86 2/3 innings. He should be good to go for his next start later this week and Shelby Miller will start in his place Monday. Analysis: Matt Selz
