Garrett Richards tosses a complete game shutout of the Dodgers Monday allowing five hits and two walks with nine strikeouts in the win.
It was Richards second complete game and first complete game shutout of his of his career. With the win the young righty improved to 12-4 on the season and snapped a two-game losing streak. Richards now owns a career Interleague ERA of 0.80, which is the best all-time among pitchers with at least 50 IP. His next start will be on Saturday against the visiting Red Sox.ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Mo Williams (knee) will play Friday against the Wizards.
As he has been playing through this knee issue, Williams' shooting percentage has been dreadfully low (23-percent). Considering this, do exactly what the Hornets are doing: play him with caution. Williams is a tealented guard, but be reasonable with your expectations, as he has struggled with his shot while dealing with the injury. Analysis: Dom Murtha
Brad Miller not in the Mariners lineup Friday because of an illness.
Considering Miller committed an atrocious 18 errors in a mere 107 games last season, one would be led to believe that he has the plate presence of Tony Gwynn in order to hold down the Mariners starting shortstop position, however that is not at all the case, as Miller hit a lowly .221, with 10 homers, 36 RBI, and boasted an inexcuseable .288 OBP in 2014. Stay away from him in drafts. Analysis: Dom Murtha
