Montee Ball to have emergency appendectomy on Monday.
This seems to happen a lot lately but generally it's nothing to worry about as players usually recover smoothly from appendectomies, but I would keep an eye on this situation as Ball is only going into his 2nd season in the NFL. You should now really keep your eyes on the Broncos' No. 2 running back battle between change-of-pace back Ronnie Hillman and power running C.J. Anderson.ANALYST: Drew Phelps
Jed Lowrie left Monday's game with a thumb injury. He's going back to Houston Tuesday for an MRI.
In all likelihood Jonathan Villar or Marwin Gonzalez will fill in for Lowrie if he misses extended time, but there's an outside chance the first-place Astros call up uber-prospect Carlos Correa for his first major league taste. Correa is murdering the Texas League (Double-A) to the tune of .375/.429/.719 with four home runs and two stolen bases. He's worth a speculative add in competitive leagues until the situation becomes more clear. Astros GM Jeff Luhnow has hinted that he wouldn't be scared to "lift" Correa straight from Double-A at some point. Analysis: Spencer Silva
