Indianapolis Colts WR Hakeem Nicks is not in game shape, according to offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton.
The more things change, the more they stay the same with Hakeem Nicks. This guy has all the talent in the world but either can't stay healthy or does not put the work in to be successful at the NFL level. It's never a good thing when your OC Pep Hamilton calls you out for not being in game shape. Nicks has been working as an outside receiver in three-wide sets only which is not expected to be used very much this year. ANALYST: Drew Phelps
Bobby Parnell's velocity was up to 94-95 MPH in his rehab appearance on Thursday.
Parnell conceded eight runs in his first 6 1/3 rehab innings. He's been lights out lately, with his velocity trending in the right direction. He's on the road to recovery from Tommy John, and it often takes pitchers time before their velocity, control and feel return. Parnell's velocity had dropped substantially before the UCL tear was announced last season, so it's a nice sign that he's throwing hard once again. Analysis: Spencer Silva
