Mat Latos allowed one run on five hits and four walks with five strikeouts over seven innings against the Marlins on Friday.

Latos evened out his record at 3-3 on Friday night after allowing just one run through seven innings. He is now sitting on a 3.07 ERA and 0.94 WHIP through his first nine starts, but has endured a drop in strikeouts, having fanned only 37 batters over 58.2 innings. As long as he can keep his ratios down he makes for a solid starter every time he takes the mound, although a 2.47 K/BB ratio isn't the most appealing. He will look to keep up the pace when he takes on the Indians on Wednesday.
