Yasiel Puig went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, a home run, an RBI, and two runs scored to help lead the Dodgers to a 2-1 victory Thursday over the Braves.

Puig has reached base in all 11 games he has played in his career against the Braves, which includes four postseason games. He is now hitting .316 on the season which is second behind Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki (.340) and the double Thursday gives him 30 on the season, which is tied for third most among NL hittersANALYST: Michael Pichan

Manager Bob Melvin says Coco Crisp is at home dealing with kidney stones.

Crisp just cannot escape the injury bug, as he is dealing with very painful kidney stones as he tries to recover from a severe neck injury that could require season ending surgery. Crisp has been limited to just 45 at bats this season and is currently on the 60-day DL, and it's doubtful that the Athletics are counting on any significant contribution from him this season. Analysis: Ben Diamond

Rajon Rondo has agreed to a one-year deal with the Kings.

There was some late buzz that Rondo could join the Lakers, but instead he'll sign with the Sacramento Kings for a one-year, $10 million deal. Rondo's season fell apart in 2014 after being traded to Dallas, but expectations will still be high for the point guard due to his track record. That being said, last year's meltdown for Rondo was jarring, as his assists per game fell from 10.8 to 6.5, and his rebounds went from 7.5 to 4.5 per game. Hopefully Rondo will become better acclimated with his team in Dallas, as if he can get it together, Rondo could be a key piece in his new team's playoff bid.  Analysis: Ben Diamond

Patrick Beverley has agreed to a four-year deal with the Rockets.

The 26-year old will return to Houston after spending his first three seasons with the team, averaging 8.9 points, 3 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game over his tenure. Last season was his best as a professional, and Beverley will look to earn an expanded role in the backcourt next season after averaging 30.8 minutes last season. The four-year deal is worth $25 million.  Analysis: Ben Diamond

Manager Terry Collins says Michael Cuddyer (knee) feels better and may be available to pinch hit.

Cuddyer has been a major disappointment so far this season, but considering the Mets offensive ineptitude, they need him to ride it out and play when available.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Jason Garcia (shoulder tendinitis) will start rehab assignment on Monday.

He will take his time on the DL getting over this shoulder tendinitis, as the O's are in no rush to bring him back and have to demote someone on the active roster.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Red Sox designated RHP Zeke Spruill for assignment.

Spruill has been pretty bad in 24 games so far this season, so the Sox felt that there was no spot for him on their roster. Expect him to clear waivers.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Carl Crawford (hamstring) will head out to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday.

It is still unclear when Crawford will return to the Dodgers, but when he does, he will quickly bring them from a team that was outfield starved to one facing a logjam at the position. He will likely compete for innings when he comes back, unless they completely relegate Alex Guerrero back to infield duties.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Sonny Gray (illness) will likely start on Tuesday.

Gray was ill with a case of salmonella, but he appears to be over it now. He will not face any DL time, like was reported earlier, and he is expected to start on Tuesday.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Justin Bour went 2-for-3 with a home run on Friday afternoon against the Cubs.

Bour is quietly having himself a solid season at first for the Marlins, as not only is he batting .271 with good power (10 home runs) and 21 RBI, but he is featuring an impressive .350 OBP. Expect him to pick up some steam going into the second half, especially considering the Marlins need him most during the absence of slugger Giancarlo Stanton.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Christian Yelich went 1-for-4 with a home run on Friday afternoon against the Cubs.

Yelich has done a great job in Giancarlo Stanton’s absence; as he has raised his average nearly 30 points during the brief stretch. He is riding a modest six game hitting streak with 10 hits during the span. His stock is definitely trending upward as the Marlins do their best to piece together wins without the best pure power hitter in the game.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

A.J. Ramos picked up his 13th save of the season on Friday afternoon against the Cubs.

The save was Ramos’ 13th of the season, as it took him 12 pitches to set down the Cubbies in the ninth. With only one blown save and five earned runs on the year, Ramos has been a model of consistency. His 1.19 ERA is elite, and so long as the Marlins offense gives him enough opportunities, Ramos should keep converting.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Jason Hammel went seven innings, allowed two runs, on four hits, and struck out five in a loss on Friday afternoon against the Marlins.

Hammel made two mistakes on Friday afternoon, but that was enough for him to pick up the loss against the Marlins in Chicago. In any event, fantasy owners can live with the loss, as Hammel gave the Cubs seven strong innings, and five strikeouts. Typically Hammel is a better strikeout guy, but on Friday he was just a bit more pedestrian than usual.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Tom Koehler went six innings, allowed one run, on five hits, and struck out four batters in a win on Friday afternoon against the Cubs.

Koehler hurled a solid six innings of one run baseball, while striking out four batters on Friday afternoon in Chicago, as he picked up his seventh win of the season over the Cubs. On the season, his ERA sits at a solid 3.52, and his 7-4 record is definitely respectable enough to make him relevant in most fantasy formats. His biggest downfall is his low strikeout rate, but in a pinch, Koehler is a good guy to start if you are looking for a solid six innings and a chance at a win.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

John Axford has been activated from the temporary inactive list.

Axford had some family issues to take care of, but now everything appears to be copacetic. Expect him to return to the club as the everyday closer going forward.  Analysis: Dom Murtha
