Ian Desmond went 1-for-3 with a double and a pair of RBI in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Marlins.

Desmond continued to have his best season at the plate in the month of July, slashing .306/.359/.482, which is the only month in which he has finished with an batting average north of .300 up to this point. Now sitting on a .250 average with 17 home runs, 64 RBI and 10 stolen bases, Desmond remains one of the best shortstop in all of fantasy, despite owning a miserable 31.3 percent strikeout rate. Shelby Miller will start Monday night for the Braves.

The scheduled starter in Foltynewicz is suffering from a cold so Miller will start in his place as Atlanta opens a series with the Marlins. The young righty who came over from St Louis this off season for Jason Heyward has been a hard luck pitcher all year with a 5-11 record despite his 2.62 ERA in 165 IP. If Miller is to get the win tonight that would be his first in 19 starts as he started the season 5-0. Analysis: Matt Selz

Mike Foltynewicz has been scratched from Monday's start due to a fever and viral symptoms.

A fever and viral symptoms are the cause of him missing his start Monday as Atlanta opens a series against Miami. The young righty has had a rough rookie campaign to this point posting a 4-6 record with a 5.71 ERA in 86 2/3 innings. He should be good to go for his next start later this week and Shelby Miller will start in his place Monday. Analysis: Matt Selz
