Dillon Gee surrendered five runs on five hits (2 HR) and three walks while striking out two batters over 6.2 innings in Tuesday's 6-0 loss to the Phillies.
Gee continued his regression on Tuesday, having now allowed 15 earned runs over his last three starts. He is sitting 4-4 with a 3.77 ERA and 1.10 WHIP through 12 stats, but has an unimpressive 53:21 K:BB rate over 76.1 innings. Until he turns things around, there is no reason why this Mets hurler should be a fantasy consideration outside of NL-only leagues. He will look to get back on track when he takes on the Giants on Monday. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Philip Rivers says trade talk didn’t come from his side.
This whole situation has been much to do about nothing. Rivers said he planned to play out his contract which expires after 2015 instead of sign an extension which caused rumors to swirl. "A lot of moving parts and lots to think about. Location, family, team … All I can say at this point regarding an extension is I’m willing to listen to anything. I’m also willing to play it out. I’m just fired up to be the Chargers QB in 2015," Rivers said. Analysis: Drew Phelps
Rougned Odor is a candidate to be demoted.
He's currently slashing .146/.263/.244 with a 21-percent strikeout rate and a 50-percent ground ball rate. There hasn't been a point at all where it even looked like he was going to work himself out of this slump, so the Rangers are going to have to take a hard look at what they have, which isn't much. If you've been saddled with him in AL-only play, we hope you've already found at least a viable placeholder. Analysis: Howard Bender
