Update: Ryan Zimmerman has Grade 3 hamstring strain.

If you have been holding out hope with Zimmerman you can stop as a Grade 3 strain is the most serve form. The Nats will likely try their best to acquire either a third or second baseman before the upcoming trade deadline. If they succeed in making a move Anthony Rendon will fill the other position, but until then he will man third with Danny Espinosa and recently recalled Zach Walters splitting time at second.ANALYST: Michael Pichan

After learning that he would not be returning to the Buffalo Bills, C.J. Spiller told a reporter, "I'm pretty sure Chip has my agent's phone number."

No, this isn't an episode of Trading Spaces. Spiller's quote was probably an off-hand remark in the wake of hearing he would not be returning to Bills camp this summer. Arizona, New York (Jets), San Francisco and Miami are already being linked to the explosive back, but it's much too early to put a finger on his eventual landing spot. The Eagles could be interested in a pass-catching, open-field running back like Spiller. Stay tuned.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

The Bulls' recent injuries should give Doug McDermott extra minutes, hopefully allowing him to extract some much needed NBA experience.

The man known as McBuckets logged more than 10 minutes Tuesday night for the first time since November. Bulls' coach Tom Thibodeau insists he likes what he sees from his young sharp shooter, but it's hard to say whether or not that will translate to minutes or production. He'll have a nice audition for future minutes while Jimmy Butler is out over the next few weeks.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

The Raiders could be interested in free agent wide receiver Randall Cobb.

Raiders' GM Reggie McKenzie drafted Cobb in his final year as the Packers' Director of Player Personnel. McKenzie apparently wants to reunite Cobb with his former mentor James Jones, who signed with the Raiders last offseason and was the team's most consistent receiver throughout the 2014 season. The question is, would the Raiders be able to convince Cobb to sign with them? They'll likely need to comfortably outbid the next highest bidder to earn rights to his services. If this scenario were to actually come to fruition, Derek Carr would get a nice boost in fantasy value.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

ESPN's Josina Anderson reports that the Cardinals, Jets, Dolphins and 49ers are among C.J. Spiller's potential suitors.

Spiller had spoken openly about his desire to return to Buffalo this offseason. However, the news dropped that the Bills traded for LeSean McCoy, signaling the end of an era for Spiller. He never fulfilled his potential in Buffalo, mostly stifled by nagging injuries, and he'll be fascinating in a different system. The upside is immense, and depending on whether or not he gets a gig as a leadback, he could be a prime RB2 candidate in drafts this fall.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

The Colts are one of the five teams Adrian Peterson listed that he'd like to play for.

Peterson apparently has a short list of teams he'd like to be traded to, and the Colts are one of them, apparently. The move would make sense: the Colts have plenty of cap space, Trent Richardson is terrible and Ahmad Bradshaw is a free agent. Simply put, the Indy backfield is nothing but sand and tumbleweeds.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

Jason Smith scored 13 points off the bench on Tuesday with four rebounds and three blocks in the Knicks 124-86 loss to the Kings.

Smith had lost his starting gig to Andrea Bargnani but turned in a solid effort in a blowout loss to the Kings. Given Smith's new role he has no business on a fantasy roster, especially given the state of the Knicks as NBA season winds down. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Alexey Shved scored a team high 15 points with seven rebounds, three assists and one steal in the Knicks 124-86 loss to the Kings on Tuesday.

It's been a bit of a whirl wind season for Shved who is now on his third team. Over the last four games Shved is averaging, 13.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists over 23.0 minutes per game. When playing somewhere in the vicinity of 20 minutes a game this season Shved has proven capable of scoring in double-figures while chipping in with a few rebounds and assists but until his role on the Knicks is more defined he should be avoided in most leagues. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Ben McLemore scored 20 points with two rebounds and four assists in the Kings 124-86 win over the Knicks on Tuesday.

McLemore is having a strong stretch of play right now, averaging 15.6 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 three-pointers over the past five games. For the year the McLemore is having a decent sophomore season, averaging 11.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.8 three-pointers per game but from a fantasy perspective his only real asset comes from his three-point shooting which he is only provides low end value in. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

DeMarcus Cousins registered a double-double on Tuesday, scoring 22 points with 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks in the Kings 124-86 win over the Knicks.

Talk about a mismatch of epic proportions as Cousins had his way with the Knicks on Tuesday, notching his 35th double-double of the season and only needing 29 minutes to do so. DeMarcus is among the games elite at this point and at just 24 years old should continue to be the most dominating center in the league for years to come. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Rudy Gay scored a game high 25 points with seven rebounds, four assists and one steal in the Kings 124-86 win over the Knicks on Tuesday.

This game was never really in doubt as the Knicks are counting down the days until the season is over. Gay took advantage of that fact as he notched his fourth 20+ point performance since the All-Star break. For the season Gay is averaging 20.1 points, 3.8 assists and 5.9 rebounds which makes him one of better forward options in fantasy this season. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Isaiah Thomas turned in his worst game as a member of the Celtics on Tuesday, scoring 11 points on 4-of-13 shooting with two rebounds and two assists in the Celtics 110-79 loss to the Cavaliers.

Nobody on the Celtics had anything going on Tuesday and Thomas was no exception as he played just 20 minutes off the bench scoring 11 points both of which are his lowest totals since being traded to the Celtics. Despite the blowout loss Boston still finds themselves in the playoff hunt and a player like Isaiah Thomas is certainly capable of leading them to the 8th seed in the weak Eastern Conference.  Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Brandon Bass scored a game high 15 points with five rebounds and one assist in the Celtics 110-79 loss to the Cavaliers on Tuesday.

Bass again got the start and turned in the Celtics best performance in a game in which they lost by 31 points. Kelly Olynyk is nearly ready to return to the lineup which could cut into the playing time for both Bass and center Tyler Zeller. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Kevin Love scored 12 points with eight rebounds, three assists and one block in the Cavaliers 110-79 win over the Celtics on Tuesday.

Just an average game from Love as he played 25 minutes in a blowout against a poor Celtics squad. Had the game been more competitive Love should have been able to put up big numbers against a Celtics front court which has been awful defensively this season. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Kyrie Irving scored 18 points with two rebounds, five assists and two steals in the Cavaliers 110-79 win over the Celtics on Tuesday.

Irving returned to the Cavaliers lineup on Tuesday after missing the previous two games with a shoulder injury. The Celtics despite their poor record actually boast a solid defensive back court with Marcus Smart and Avery Bradley making this type of performance from Irving no small feat. When healthy Kyrie remains one of the leagues best scorers and his fantasy owners should be excited as the playoffs near. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

LeBron James scored a game high 27 points with three rebounds, five assists, three steals and one block in the Cavaliers 110-79 win over the Celtics on Tuesday.

James exerted his will over the over matched and undersized Boston Celtics as he did all of his damage in just 26 minutes of play. Games like this should be expected by LeBron against weaker competition like the Celtics and fantasy owners can appreciate the fact that he was able to fill the stat sheet despite his limited playing time. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba Mobile App
