Carlos Santana had himself a game, smacking two home runs and driving in three RBI in a losing effort against the Royals on Friday night.
Santana provided the offense for the Indians on Friday night, as his second half surge continues. He is now slashing .353/.463/.706 with three home runs, three doubles, eight RBI and a stolen base since returning form the All-Star break and should remain a must-start in all but the shallowest of leagues despite owning a .222 overall average while hitting at this high of a rate. Devin Hester (toe) has been cleared to return from injury in Week 13.
Hester has been on short-term IR all year with the toe injury and has finally been cleared to return. Considering the offensive struggles for the Falcons, he may be used as more than just a return man. There's been little help opposite Julio Jones so perhaps Hester will get a crack at some extra snaps. He certainly couldn't do worse than what the team has there right now. Of course, Matt Ryan still has to wake up as well. Analysis: Howard Bender
