Carlos Santana had himself a game, smacking two home runs and driving in three RBI in a losing effort against the Royals on Friday night.
Santana provided the offense for the Indians on Friday night, as his second half surge continues. He is now slashing .353/.463/.706 with three home runs, three doubles, eight RBI and a stolen base since returning form the All-Star break and should remain a must-start in all but the shallowest of leagues despite owning a .222 overall average while hitting at this high of a rate. Kevin Love (shoulder) is expected to miss at least two weeks.
Terrible break for the Cavs, as they are going to struggle without Love patrolling the paint for the next few weeks. Hopefully when Love does come back he will be 100-percent because these upcoming matchups aren't going to be easy for the Cavs. Expect Tristian Thompson to fill in for Love while he recovers over the next couple of weeks.
