Zack Greinke punched out 10 Giants over seven scoreless innings in Friday's 8-0 victory.
Zack Greinke, who owned a 4-5 record over his last 10 starts, was happy to face an NL West team Friday as he improved to 14-1 with a 2.03 ERA in 22 starts against the NL West since joining the Dodgers. His next start gives him a good chance to post his fifth double-digit strikeout games as will face the free swinging Braves at home on Thursday.rnANALYST: Michael Pichan
Eduardo Rodriguez will start Thursday in Texas for the Red Sox.
The Red Sox were considering bringing Rodriguez up in late April when Wade Miley was struggling but now they may consider him a potential replacement for the nightmare that is Joe Kelly. He'll start Thursday to stay on his regular throwing schedule and this may only be a spot start/audition, but keep an eye on him especially if there's a chance he joins the rotation. Wil Myers (wrist) is improving but not close to returning.
It's not so much that he isn't close to returning, it's that the Padres are being very cautious with him and have not set a timetable for him to start swinging a bat. Once he does start, it might not be too long before he lands on a rehab assignment. The team is hoping for an early-to-mid June return, but we'll just have to wait and see. Analysis: Howard Bender
