Daisuke Matsuzaka (elbow) was sent to New York for an MRI after experiencing discomfort during Thursday's game.
Uh-oh. After a rough outing on Thursday in which he gave up four runs over two innings of relief he will be examined by doctors and given an MRI. This can't be a good sign for the Mets' pitcher. Matsuzaka has been solid for New York this season, with a combined 3.87 ERA and 1.33 WHIP from the rotation and out of the bullpen. ANALYST: Ben Diamond
Update: Corey Dickerson was removed from Saturday's game with a left quad injury.
While the news regarding Dickerson's plantar fasciitis was positive, he was removed after he fouled a ball off his back leg and is now day-to-day with what the team is calling a quad injury. When his leg appeared to be swollen, manager Walt Weiss opted to play it safe and remove Dickerson who had gone 0-for-3 in Saturday's game against the Giants. Consider him day-to-day for right now and figure he'll be a game-time decision for Sunday. Analysis: Howard Bender
