The Phillies turned to Jonathan Papelbon Thursday despite having had pitched three innings over the last two days. He pitched a perfect ninth with a strikeout for the save.

If you want results, you go to what you know. Papelbon is a veteran and he can handle the work, plus, he could be on the move, so what do the Phillies care if pitches too much? ANALYST: David Kerr

Felix Hernandez allowed seven earned runs on 12 hits while walking one and striking out seven over 6.2 innings in the Mariners 8-2 loss to the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

The Diamondbacks had King Felix’s number early and often as they tagged him for seven earned runs over 6.2 innings. The loss drops Hernandez to 12-6 on the season with a 3.02 ERA and 1.12 WHIP while he has struck out 131 over 137 innings. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Welington Castillo went 2-for-3 with two home runs, three RBI and two runs scored in the Diamondbacks 8-2 win over the Mariners on Wednesday.

Castillo continues to rake since coming over to the Diamondbacks as he has now hit eight of his 10 home runs while playing with Arizona. Overall on the season Castillo is hitting .235 with 25 runs, 10 home runs and 26 RBI which has made him a solid fantasy option given his production. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Jung Ho Kang went 3-for-5 with a solo home run in the Pirates 10-4 win over the Twins on Wednesday.

Kang hit his seventh home run of the season on Wednesday to go with 36 runs, 33 RBI, five stolen bases and a .295 average. After hitting 40 home runs in Korea many wondered how well his game would transfer when he arrived to the majors and while the power decline was expected he has shown the ability to hit for a good average and owns a solid .811 OPS. Kang has shortstop eligibility in most leagues and given how shallow the position they have to be thrilled with his production to this point given his uncertainty.  Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Andrew McCutchen went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in the Pirates 10-4 win over the Twins on Wednesday.

McCutchen launched his 14th home run of the season on Wednesday to go with 54 runs, 64 RBI, five stolen bases and a .290 batting average. After a slow start to the season McCutchen has really turned it on and those who drafted him with an early first round pick are finally getting their returns. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Francisco Liriano allowed three runs (two earned) on 10 hits while striking out four over 5.2 innings in the Pirates 10-4 win over the Twins on Wednesday.

Liriano was not at his best on Wednesday but the Pirates offense put up 10 runs of support to get him his seventh win of the season. The two earned runs brings his season ERA to 2.92 as he continues to be a legitimate fantasy option whenever he takes the mound. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Miguel Sano went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in the Twins 10-4 loss to the Pirates on Wednesday.

The two hit effort raised Sano's batting average to .299 on the year to go with 10 runs, three home runs and 13 RBI. The 22 year old rookie has not shown any signs of struggles with major league pitching and while he is still striking out plenty his overall production has not suffered. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba
