Update: Manny Machado said he feels better on Thursday. He hasn't really tested the back yet, but will try to hit and take grounders today.
Machado will get the night off in favor of Ryan Flaherty, which makes for the third straight game in which the Orioles will be without his services. Although the injury was not expected to land him on the disabled list, there is some concern that this minor back tightness may keep him out past this weekend. However this recent update indicates that maybe there is a chance he could be back as early as Saturday if tests go well the next couple of days. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
LeSean McCoy and Fred Jackson could split third-down snaps.
Due to his tenure in Buffalo, Jackson is going to get some work, but this won't be a 50/50 split by any means. McCoy is an uber-talented back who will be the bell cow out in Buffalo. Fantasy owners who draft McCoy in drafts this upcoming season should also draft Jackson, solely as a handcuff option. The reported split should be taken with a grain of salt until we get clarification closer to season time. Analysis: Colby Conway
Marlins released SS Yosmany Guerra.
Guerra is 32 years old and has yet to play at a level higher than Double-A. He wasn't really a fantasy asset to begin with, but this news just confirms that notion. If for some unforsaken reason you rostered Guerra, it is time to release him, just like the Marlins did today. Analysis: Colby Conway
