FANTASY PLAYER UPDATES & NEWS

Manny Machado (back) is not in the Orioles starting lineup on Thursday.

Machado will get the night off in favor of Ryan Flaherty, which makes for the first straight game in which the Orioles will be without his services. Although the injury was not expected to land him on the disabled list, there is some concern that this minor back tightness may keep him out past this weekend. Until the Orioles update us with his status consider him day-to-day.ANALYST: Matthew Beck

Nikola Mirotic scored a game high 29 points with nine rebounds and one block in the Bulls 96-86 loss to the Clippers on Sunday.

With Taj Gibson out of the lineup Mirotic stepped up in a big way as the Bulls only big man off the bench. Gibson was seen in a walking boot leaving the locker room after injuring his ankle against the Timberwolves on Friday which could mean more playing time for Mirotic. Earlier this week Gibson sat out because of an illness and Nikola impressed, scoring 16 points and pulling down 14 rebounds. Its likely given his prior role in the rotation that Mirotic could be available in your league and is worth an add. In daily leagues as long as Gibson remains out Mirotic should be considered a must start due to his very low price tag. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Joakim Noah registered a double-double on Sunday, scoring 13 points with 11 rebounds and six assists in the Bulls 96-86 loss to the Clippers.

Noah notched his second straight double-double and his seventh straight game with double-digit rebounds. Noahs offensive touch has been a big lack luster this season but with the injury to Derrick Rose he has picked up his play-making having dished out at least four assists in seven of the last eight games. For the month Noah is averaging 6.9 points, 11.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game which would make him one of the better mid-tier plays at the center position in daily leagues. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Pau Gasol struggled on Sunday, scoring just four points on 2-of-13 shooting while adding 15 rebounds and four assists in the Bulls 96-86 loss to the Clippers.

Gasol was questionable for Sundays game with an illness which clearly affected his play as he scored a season low four points but spared his owners from a complete disaster of a performance by pulling down 15 rebounds. While the illness is certainly something to keep track of for Gasol owners he has been impressive this month, averaging 19.9 points, 12.6 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Spencer Hawes flirted with a double-double on Sunday, scoring 14 points with nine rebounds, one assist, one steal and three blocks in the Clippers 96-86 win over the Bulls.

Hawes was a popular addition to fantasy rosters once Blake Griffin had knee surgery but hes failed to impress and still finds himself in a time share with Glen Davis. Hawes is averaging just 8.5 points and 3.3 rebounds this month and shouldn't really be on anybodys fantasy radar at this point. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

DeAndre Jordan dominated the glass on Sunday, grabbing a game high 26 rebounds while adding nine points, two steals and two blocks in the Clippers 96-86 win over the Bulls.

The NBAs leading rebounder put on a clinic on Sunday, notching his second straight 20-rebound performance and fifth of the month. With Blake Griffin sidelined as he recovers from knee surgery Jordan has really stepped up his game and while his offense is touch and go he continues to be an impact defender in the middle. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Chris Paul registered a double-double on Sunday, scoring a team high 28 points with five rebounds, 12 assists and one block in the Clippers 96-86 win over the Bulls.

Paul is playing at a real high level of late, averaging 21.8 points, 11.6 assists and 3.8 rebounds over the past five games and if not for the freakish level that Russell Westbrook is currently playing on a case could be made that Paul is playing like the best point guard in the league. The double-double on Sunday makes it his fourth straight and brings his season total up to 29. As the NBA season marches towards the playoffs I expect CP3 to continue to play at a high level as the Clippers battle for playoff positioning.  Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

The Timberwolves may be without Nikola Pekovic for Monday's game against the Clippers as he continues to be slowed up by a nagging ankle injury.

Expect Gorgui Dieng to start in Pekovic's place on Monday, unless his ankle unexpectedly improves before game time. Adrien Payne might see some increased minutes as well. Analysis: Dom Murtha

Ben McLemore jammed his finger Sunday, he was wearing a sleeve on it in the locker room. He said he will be fine going forward.

No one is really concerned with this minor hiccup, but don't be surprised if he looks a bit bothered during his next few weeks. This shouldn't really affect his fantasy production. Analysis: Dom Murtha

Tobias Harris scored 13 points (4-13 FGA), grabbed nine rebounds, recorded two assists, and two steals in Orlando's 98-83 loss to the Hornets on Sunday night.

Harris had a nice showing in the rebounding department on Sunday night, but his 4-of-13 from the floor is simply unacceptable. Its important not to be too hard on him, but his talent level is certainly above 30-percent shooting, so the frustration is arguably warranted. He needs to get back to his season average of 17 points per game, if the Magic have any plans of winning some games before the season ends.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Nikola Vucevic scored 10 points (4-12 FGA) and grabbed nine rebounds in Orlando's 98-83 loss to the Hornets on Sunday night.

Although Vucevic nearly recorded a double-double, he has proven that he is too talented to play at such a mediocre level. Vucevic is more of a 20-and-10 guy, and games like this from him should be considered unacceptable if the Magic plan on taking the next step as a team.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Victor Oladipo scored 23 points (7-14 FGA) and recorded five assists in Orlando's 98-83 loss to the Hornets on Sunday night.

Oladipo was impressive in Sunday night's loss, as he scored 23 points, shot 50-percent from the floor, and dished out five helpers to his teammates. The solid performances for the Magic began and ended with the former Hoosier standout, as everyone else underperformed based off reasonable expectations, thus the convincing loss to Charlotte. The youngster has been improving as the season has kicked along, so expect more performances like this to come. Analysis: Dom Murtha

Gerald Henderson scored 16 points (7-13 FGA) and recorded three rebounds in the Hornets 98-83 victory over the Magic on Sunday night.

Henderson should not be considered a legitimate fantasy starter by any means, but he is typically good for double figure scoring and a couple of boards and assists on any given night. On Sunday night, but 16 points were solid and most likely gave daily league owners some bang for their buck. Analysis: Dom Murtha

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist scored 11 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the Hornets 98-83 victory over the Magic on Sunday night.

MKG remains one of the rawest talents in the NBA, but anyone who owns him appreciates his hustle, as he notched his 13th double-double of the season on Sunday night. Rebounding is a hustle stat that clearly shows up on the score sheet for Kidd-Gilchrist and has proved to be the most noticeable improvement his third NBA season. Expect continued production from MKG, as he has quietly emerged as one of the best rebounding small forwards in the league.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Cody Zeller scored 16 points (7-10 FGA) and grabbed eight rebounds in the Hornets 98-83 victory over the Magic on Sunday night.

Zeller shouldn't be on anyone's fantasy radar's, however it should be noted that he has recorded four straight games of seven rebounds or more. Numbers like that might be worth an emergency look for daily league players ballin' on a tight budget. Analysis: Dom Murtha
